During the this session, i learned many things that it can help me improve my english skill. at the bagining of the session, we learned taking notes skill, and "Funboys". these skills will help us to improve our reading and writhing. moreover, in the middle of this session, we learned how to write a cause and effect eassay and how to do our research essay. In addition, i improve a lot of my vocabulary. this week and next week, we will get busy because we work on our finally research paper. we must keep working hard.

Summary:
In this lecture “Media Violence”, the writer said that there are many media violence in the television, video games, movies, music, toys and other media nowadays. These things caused many children become criminal’s dossiers. They learned how to crime from television and video games. The writer also mention that more than 70 percent of American teenage have played the violent game such as The Grand Theft Auto which game is taking about Mafia became a very successful game in the world. The writer said that these violence game is for adult, but teenage can easily get these game in the game store. Therefore, government should deal with every game store and control the selling of the violence game. The writer also mentioned that the reason why many shooting events in the school is many students watching and playing violent movies and games. When teenage get some problem that they can't solve it or some people bully them, they will do same things just like the some character in the violent movies or games using the violence to solve the problems. In conclusion, the writer believed that parents should control their children don’t watch, listen and play any media linking to violence.
Critical:
In this lecture, the writer mentioned that there many teenage crimes were caused by Media Violence, but people don’t know how to solve this problem. Moreover, Media Violence in America is also a big issue because more then 70 percent teenage prefer to play violent game. In this article, the writer also said that more and more criminal’s dossiers in America. In my opinion, people should control the selling of the violent movies, music and games, and these game companies must be separated these games which game is for teenage and which game is for adults.

Culture Shock

Last Friday, we watched a interesting lecture in class. The lecture is about “Culture Shock”. At beginning of the lecture, the professor explained that, “What is the Culture Shock?” moreover, she also used some examples to help her students to understand that “when” and “why” people get culture shock. She pointed out the differences between Asia culture and American culture. She said the Chinese and Korean culture the family is very important, and American culture is more independence. Moreover, she mentioned that the language, food and different society cause people who come form other country live in different culture will easily get culture shock. Therefore, sometimes, people will get sick because culture shock. In this lecture, the professor also stated how people to cure the culture shock. In my opinion, for me studying in Canada is better than studying in other English country. The reason is that Canada is multicultural, so when person arrived here, they couldn’t get too mach culture shock.

Reflection of these week

In my opinion, the most difficult assignment in this week is reading test. The reason is that my taking notes skill is not very good. In addition, I like the vocabulary test because it is very interesting. It can help us to learn new vocabulary very easily, and we also learn how to use the new vocabulary. Moreover, we don't have a lot of homework, so I don't feel stress in last two weeks. I perfer to learn with other people becasue I get different opinion from other people, and learning some new from other students.

Critique of WALMART

The lecture is talking about WALMART, which company become very successful international business in the world nowadays. At the beginning of this lecture, the director gives us some information and background about WALMART. These information and background will help us to know that, “what kind of welfare does WALMART worker have? And some family business was influenced by WALMART in the past 20 years.” In the first part of this lecture, the CEO of WALMART Company mentioned that the worker is very important for WALMART Company, and he also said that WALMART had very good benefits for their workers. In fact, there are many problems between employees and employers in the WALMART Company. According to several WALMART workers said that WALMART didn’t have a good benefits system for them, such as health care, children care, medical insurance and vocation, so they need government to help them. In my opinion, this lecture shows us a big issue that WALMART workers are working in the bad situation. Even though WALMART is a successful international business, the workers couldn’t get wonderful benefits. After I watched this lecture, I agree with some people’s opinion from this lecture. I think that WALMART should improve management and administration, and give an excellent welfare for their workers.

My impression of YUELI

When i studyed in YUELI, i really like this school. Before i came YUELI to study, I studyed in a college that I couldn't improve my english in that school. After that, my best friend introduced YUELI to me. now I have studyed in YUELI for one year. I think that YUELI is the best place to international students to study english. Moreover, I also get many friends from different countries. Now, I am studing in the level 5a. I saw that i had a big improving during last year.
I really love this school. Also there are many knowladages that I need to learn it. Moreover, I think the writing and reading is my problem that I must improve it in this session.

I come form north of China, my hometown name is ShenYang. It is one of the biggest industries cities in China.Therefore, I don't like my hometown because there are many pollution. Now, I will introduce myslfe, my name is Hesong Quan. I am 22 years old. when I get free time or stay alone, I perfer to watch movies and listen musics. Sometimes, I like to read fictions. I had study in YUELI since 2005. I began to study in lv2. Moreover, i think that YUELI is a good place to study English in Toronto. After I finish my studying in YUElI, I have a plan to study in the York University. For me, I want to study Histroy or education, but my father hope me to study business. The reason is that my father need me to improve his business in the future, so I must to listen to him.
